Anthony DaRon Hairston, 19, of Roanoke and Charlotte, N.C. went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, December 11, 2012.
He was the son of Diane Louise Quarles (Derrick) and Ray Anthony Hairston (Eudora). He was known as Lil Anthony and was a bright and outgoing young man that could light up any room with his smile. Anthony was an active young man who enjoyed fishing, basketball, the Miami Dolphins, and helping others whenever he could. He was raised in a Christian home and was deeply loved by his family.
In addition to his parents and step-parents, he is survived by two sisters, Delilah Hairston; Heather Graham and her husband Shawn; four brothers, Derrick Quarles, Jr.; Kalib Quarles; Blake Grubbs and his wife Kristine; Collin Grubbs and his wife Elizabeth; grand parents, Louis and Deborah Dean;Rev. Dr. Rawleigh and Barbara Quarles; grandmother, Fay Mimi Pollard; great-grandmother, Mary Nanny Mann; Godmother, Dannene Adams; Godbrothers, Aaron Cotton and Avion Stillman; three nieces and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and too many friends to count.
A memorial service will be held from 7 to 9PM, Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the A.E. Grier & Son Funeral Home in Charlotte. The family will then receive friends from 4 to 8PM, on Friday, December 21,2012 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. A Celebration of Lil Anthonys Life will be held at 2PM Saturday, December 22,2012 at Exuosia Global Church. Rev.Dr.Rawleigh Quarles and Pastor J.L. White will officiate.
