Anthony (Tony) A. Dooley, Jr., 32, of Salem, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2011. Tony was a man who had many friends. He loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed watching wrestling. His favorite hobbies included paint and body work, and his talent carried over into building and detailing model cars. Tony was one of many enthusiasts who recognized the glory in the bowtie and Impala emblems. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Mae Dooley; and maternal grandparents, Carter and Mary Vaught. His surviving family includes his paternal grandparents, Marshall, Jr. and Colleen Dooley; mother, Mary Holt and husband, Emmette; father, Anthony Dooley, Sr. and wife, Annie Edna; fiance, Jessica Gardner; sisters, Kimberly Holt, Jennifer Dooley, and Sarah Dooley; niece, Caralee Dooley; nephew, Preston Kelly; many aunts, uncles, other family members, and friends; and cats, Joy and Jar-Jar. The entire family wishes to thank Sissy Fisher for her special gift. A period of visitation will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 11 a.m., also in the chapel. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The Rev. Junior Westmoreland will officiate.
