Anthony (Tony) Harold Bryan, 55, of Salem, went home to be with our Lord and his mother and father on Wednesday, November 6, 2013.
Born in Clintwood, VA on Nov. 16, 1957, Tony was preceded in death by his father and mother, William Harold and Betty Jo Bryan. He worked at Thompsons Mens Clothing Store in Salem for 17 years and at Star City Janitorial Services for 9 years. He was a member of Green Ridge Baptist Church in Roanoke. He enjoyed watching sports and doing the Lords work.
Surviving are his beloved wife and soul mate for eternity, Barbara Diane Bryan; sister, Denise Pate and husband, Jeff , of Florida; brother, Terry Gene Bryan and wife, Lorraine, of Illinois; sister, Mary Sue Dean and husband, Robert, of Culpeper, VA; brother, Mark Dwayne Bryan and wife, Robin, of Petersburg, VA; daughter, Stephanie Tucker of Roanoke County; stepson, James Victor Bradshaw and wife, Kirsten, of Kentucky; grandchildren, Jacob Tucker, Kaitlynn Tucker, Adam Cole, Nathan Bradshaw, Brody Bradshaw, and Annie Bradshaw; mother-in-law, Doris Jones; and many other cherished family and friends.
The family would like to thank neighbor John Regnier, the angels from Carilion Clinic Hospice for their help during Tonys illness, and Green Ridge Baptist Church for their support and love.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 8, 2013 from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son funeral home in Salem. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Palmer officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Burial Park in Roanoke.
