Anna L. Conkling

Anna Louise Conkling, 94, of Salem, VA, and formerly of Casper, WY, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, with family and her hospice nurse, Stephanie, by her side. Anna was the daughter of the late, Bernhard, and Anna Hansen. She attended Lindenwood University, in St. Charles, MO, and then graduated from the University of Colorado, in the class of 1941, she was the wife of the late, William R. Conkling, they were married for 58 years, she was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother. She and her husband enjoyed taking their Wyoming grandsons around the U.S. and their Virginia grandsons Caravaning on vacations to Wyoming, during summer vacations. After retirement, Anna and Bill were able to enjoy many travels throughout the world, Anna was a member of the PEO chapter AC of Casper, WY, along with being a member of several other civic clubs, she was a life long member of ST. Marks, Episcopal Church, Casper, WY. Along with her husband, and parents, Anna was preceded in death by two great-grand children. Survivors include her two daughters, Barbara Kvale and her husband Jack, of Casper, WY; and Beverly Faville and her husband Ward, of Salem, VA; six grandsons, and 16 great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Gentle Shepherd Hospice for the love given to Anna, and also thanks her special caregivers, Carolyn and Betty. A memorial service will be held at St. Marks Episcopal Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Marks Episcopal Church Alter Guild, 701 S.
