Ann Beamer Burch

Ann Beamer Burch, of Salem, went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 16, 2017. Ms. Burch was born October 3, 1938 in Hillsville, a daughter of the late James Thomas Beamer and Elizabeth Rickman Beamer. She was a dedicated mother and teacher whom loved her students. She was giving to a fault and always put others first. Ms. Burch retired from Cave Spring High School where she taught Typing, Business, and Special Education. She is survived by her son, Thomas Allen Burch and wife, Tracy; grandsons, Connor Samuel Burch and Colton Asher Burch; and sister, Lily Beamer Owens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, November 19, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Clark officiating. In lieu of flowers, Anns family suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
