Anita Kaye Dooley

Anita K. Dooley, 48, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014. She was born in Roanoke, a daughter of Connie Taylor Gibson of Salem, and the late Jerry Wayne Gibson and had been an area resident all of her life. Anita was a hairdresser for over twenty years, and was most recently employed for many years at Regis Salon at Valley View Mall. She enjoyed going to the beach, and above all, spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Allen Grover Dooley; a son, Samuel Lucas Dooley; her daughter, Arianna Hunter Dooley; three sisters, Jennifer Lynn Gibson, Elissa Gibson Anderson and her husband, Rick, and Nikki Gibson. Anita is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Monday, January 6, 2014 at Christian Life International Church. The Rev. Ryan Linkous will officiate. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5PM, Sunday at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
