Allen Warner Whitmire, 95, of Salem, VA, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Born in Frederick Co., near Winchester, on Saturday, September 27, 1930, to the late Perry & Mildred Whitmire. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased in death by his brother, Denny Whitmire. He is survived by his brother, Terry Whitmire.

Allen attended John Handley High School and Nashville Auto Diesel School. He was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War. His work years were divided between Kroger Co and Roanoke Auto Spring Works. He was an Elder at New Hope Presbyterian Church.

A celebration of life will be held at the Salem Presbyterian Church, Salem, VA, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 1 p.m.
