Allen Warner Whitmire, 95, of Salem, VA, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. 

Born in Frederick Co., near Winchester, on Saturday, September 27, 1930, to the late Perry & Mildred Whitmire. He is survived by his brothers, Denny and Terry Whitmire. 

Allen attended Handly High School and Nashville Auto Diesel School. He was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War. His work years were divided between Kroger Co and Roanoke Auto Spring Works. He was an Elder at New Hope Presbyterian Church.
