Alice Cora Gladden

Alice Baker Gladden, 86, of Salem, passed away at Raleigh Court Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, March 26, 2017. Preceding her in death was her husband, Grant Gladden; son, Andrew B. Gladden; and special niece, Melanie Elaine Coley. Her surviving family includes her children, Deborah, Jon, and Kelly and wife, Candy; sister, Ellen Childress; grandchildren, Carrie Batschi and husband, David, Tyler Grant, and Jack Ambler Gladden; great-grandchildren, Felicity Elaine and Andy Marie Batschi; and many nieces and nephews. The family extends special thanks to the staff at Raleigh Court as well as Good Samaritan Hospice for their loving care. A period of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Wayburn Drive in Salem with Bishop Joseph Havens, Sr. officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to the Susan G.
