Alan Lincoln Benson

Alan Lincoln Benson, 23, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016. He was born in Roanoke and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Glenvar High School and enjoyed all sports activities, most especially bowling. He survived by his mother, Karen Benson Jackson; father, Chris Benson; maternal grandmother, Hazel Stevenson Carper; a brother, Chris Benson, Jr., family friend, George Andrews; devoted friend, Clyde Bennett, and many other friends and acquaintances. The family will receive friends beginning at 1PM, Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Abbey of Sherwood Memorial Park, with funeral services beginning at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the donors local D.A.R.E. program.
