Aisha Cherie Walrond, 13, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2017.
She was a student at Andrew Lewis Middle School. All who knew her pure, angelic spirit loved her. Aisha and her dad showed a bonded love that could only be experienced between a father and a daughter.
Preceding her in death was her loving grandfather, John Walrond.
Her surviving family includes her great-grandparents, Herschel and Joyce Sizemore, and Pat Walrond; grandparents, Tamba Agee and husband, Ralph, and Tony Walrond and girlfriend, Ann; father, Steven Walrond; mother, Crystal Dearing; sister, Zoey Dearing; and many other extended family members and friends.
Special thanks is extended to the ALMS resource officer, Officer Malek, for his guidance and care during this time.
A period of visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017, also in the chapel, with Pastor John Chambers officiating. Interment will be private.
