Sheila Garman

Sheila Garman, 71, of Vinton, and formerly of Catawba, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013. Sheila was born in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Herbert and Nancy Brock. As a life long area resident, Sheila found many things to enjoy like, reading, doing crosswords, and was an avid NASCAR fan, she loved to keep in touch with her friends and family by talking on the phone. Left behind to cherish her memorie are her sons Kevin Garman and girlfriend, Tina, Tracy Jefferson and wife Linda; brothers Bob Brock and wife, Strana, David Ayers and girlfriend, Kara; daughter-in-law Dawn Ray; Five grandchildren LaNessa Garman, Brittany Garman, Jonathan Jefferson, Logan Jefferson, and Stephanie Jefferson; loyal companion Dusty; a host of other family members and friends. A gathering of friends will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 4:00 pm at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, to honor the life of Sheila Garman.
