Eleanor Mae Tegtmeier

Eleanor Mae Tegtmeier, 75 of Roanoke, VA passed Thursday, April 7, 2011. She was born August 16, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan a daughter of the late John and Mary Brophy Methard. Mrs. Tegtmeier worked for Cave Springs Elementary School for the past eleven years and considered everyone at the school as her second family. She is survived by three children, Charles Summers and wife, Rita, David Summers and family and Linda Wolley; grandchildren, Corporal Nicholas Wolley, Benjamin Wolley, Corporal Petrovskyy Valadyslav and Amber Summers; sisters, Betty Hermann and Carolyn Methard. We will all miss her great sense of humor. Memorial services will be conducted at 1 pm Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers on the Palliative Care Unit, Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Lisa Meyer and Kelly, CCU, RN for their care and compassion given to our mother.
