William Andrew (Andy) Price, 72, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Bedford County. Following high school, he enlisted and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged, Andy moved to Salem, Virginia to raise his family. He worked as a carpenter and umpired recreational and travel baseball, as well as softball, for over forty years. He especially enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Seay Price Crawford and Billy Price.

Remaining to cherish his memory includes his wife, Alice Price; son, Shawn Price (Stacey); daughter, Michelle Williams (Michael); mother of his children, Sandra Price; siblings, Candi Heath, Tony Price, Christopher Price, Sherri Harlow; 5 grandchildren, Lance Price, Sydney Price, Jake Williams, Brody Williams, Zachary Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday July 30, 2020, from 5 until 8 pm at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, Va. Funeral services to honor Andy's life will be conducted on Friday July 31, 2020, at 11 am at First Baptist Church, 321 Marshall Ave., Roanoke, Va. Burial will follow at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Moneta, Va. Due to regulations set forth, social distancing and facial masks will be required.
