Obituary for Regina Howard Stamper (Howard)

Regina H. Stamper, 88, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

She was born in Salem, a daughter of the late Edward Perry Howard and Beulah Creasy Howard and had been an area resident most of her life. She loved Salem High School sports and was a longtime member of the Salem Church of Christ. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, and was simply “Granny” to all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Jimmie Glenn Stamper, and two daughters and a son-in-law, Tracie Stamper Conley, and Julie Stamper Mullins and her husband Steve.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Vest and husband Johnny; son, Tony Stamper and wife Nicole; grandchildren, Andy Mullins and wife Sarah, Jamie McKibben and husband Brandon, Jason Vest and wife Amy, Brian Hall, Brandon Hall, and Emma and Audrey Stamper; great-grandchildren, Molly and Charlie McKibben, Jacob, Benny and Luke Vest, and Sam Mullins. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of her life will be held later this year. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Salem Church of Christ, Jodi Flinchum Enrichment Fund 401 E.
