Raojibhai Harmanbhai Patel, 93, of Salem, VA, and formerly of Anand, India, passed away peacefully in the company of his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Born on Wednesday, February 27, 1929, to the late Harmanbhai Lalubhai Patel and Gangaba Harmanbhai Patel. Raojibhai greatly enjoyed being outside; he was especially fond of gardening and taking walks. He also enjoyed reading religious books and visiting the temple and attending Kripalu Bhajan Mandal. He greatly loved his family and enjoyed spending quality time with them.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Vimlaben Raojibhai Patel; children, Daxay R. Patel, Harshida Devang Amin, Hina K. Patel, and Bharat R. Patel, Kaushikkumar G. Patel, Gita D. Patel, Mallika B. Patel; grandchildren, Romil Devang Amin, Jay K. Patel, Sahil B. Patel, Monil Devang Amin, Pooja S. Patel, and Helly Narendrakumar Amin, Nishita Shah Amin, and Deep D. Patel, Krishna J. Patel, and Sean P. Patel; great-grandchildren, Lakshya Helly Amin, and Ariyan Devang Amin, as well as siblings, Vithalbhai H. Patel and Shanta D. Patel.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, VA.
