We would rollerblade from your house to Brooks-Byrd pharmacy for a orange/lemon/limeade. Hang at the farmers market, then rollerblade back. Watch some scary movies, which you loved (I hated!) and drink all your moms sweet tea. Change outfits around 5 times a day. Hit up Macados, Mac and Bobs or Valley View mall in the Prelude. Express store was our favorite, we would try on all the new stuff. Sometimes we’d even just sit on your front porch and talk in the swing for hours about nothing at all. Mariel, you were so special to me and I will always carry the best memories with me. “My memory is long” I pinky promise. Love always K

Prayers for peace and love to your whole family.

What a beautiful soul Mariel had. From my time babysitting her and feeding her mac and cheese every time (it was all I knew how to make) to watching her grow up into a beautiful, kind, young woman, she was always a pleasure to be around. I especially enjoyed watching her roller blade around the neighborhood with her young daughter, just spending time together. It was obvious how much she adored her. My heart breaks for her family and I am sending all of my love and wishes to them and hope their beautiful memories of her cover them during this difficult time.

I only met you a handful of times but I wish I could have gotten to know you better. I know you are truly missed and you were taken to soon but I am a firm believer in god has a plan for us all and you must have been apart of his plan now . Fly high beautiful there's no more demons to battle her on earth instead you get to walk with God and be someone's guardian angel.....

I know we went our separate ways, but I did love you, Zach and Emma. I just wish all I did would have kept this from happening. Those demons you were fighting were too strong. I truly hope you have finally found peace.
Love always,

I worked with Mariel about 10 years ago at Blue Hills Montessori School! Such a beautiful and sweet soul; gone too soon! Prayers sent to Emma and family!
