Obituary for Margaret Ray McClanahan (Morris)

Margaret Ray Morris McClanahan, 73, of Roanoke, VA, formerly of Pulaski, VA, went to be with the Lord following a sudden illness. She was born on September 4, 1947, to the late Willie Langston Morris and Rosetta Crouse Morris. During her lifetime Margaret worked for several businesses: Jefferson Mills, the Renfro Corporation, and most recently Walmart. She was a member of the Pulaski Presbyterian Church in Pulaski, VA. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Patrick McClanahan, Sr.; Son, William Patrick McClanahan, Jr.; sisters, Betty Jo Morris, Emma Mae Fuller, and Debra Ann Morris; one brother, Ralph Langston Morris; and Anthony White.
She is survived by her children, Chad L. McClanahan, Christopher N. McClanahan, and Marlena McClanahan Hampton and husband, Kenny, Travis and Rosebud Morris; grandchildren, Christopher McClanahan, Elijah Patton, Halla Jackson, Ian Hampton, Noah McClanahan, William Patrick McClanahan, III; great-grandchildren, Jackson, and Aspen; sister, Evelyn White; brothers, William J. Morris, James Morris, and Thomas Morris; other family members include Delores, TJ, Zachary, Gloria, and Rae.
A funeral service to celebrate her homegoing will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, VA.
Friends may visit with the family from 1 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
All guests are asked to wear a face mask and practice social distancing while in attendance of services for Mrs. McClanahan.
