Obituary for Kimberly Waggie Goldsmith

Kimberly Waggie Goldsmith passed away at the age of 51 on Friday, December 11, 2020, after battling metastatic breast cancer for 6 years.

“I will fight; I will persevere with strength, determination, and faith in the fight against cancer. Giving up is not an option.”

Kim’s fighting spirit will live in the hearts of us all. Her prayers and faith became stronger in the end, still trusting God for healing!

Kim was born in Manassas, Va. on May 12, 1969. Her family moved to Roanoke, Va. in 1972 where she resided until after graduation from Cave Spring High School and attended Virginia Western Community College.

Kim’s personality, beauty, and love for fashion landed a career in New York City where her dreams came true.

At the time of death, she resided in Charleston, S.C.

Kim was preceded in death by her father, Roger Eugene Waggie.

She is survived by her mom, Shelia Waggie; sister, Nanette Waggie; half-sister, Cherah Waggie; and two nephews, Jake Thompson and Roger Hill.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
