Kathy grew up in beautiful Craig County the oldest of 4 children. Her family loved how her eyes twinkled when she laughed and smiled! She spent her childhood exploring surrounding woods and creeks with her siblings, sometimes getting into mischief, but always having fun. Many summer days were spent swimming in the waters of Craig Creek and enjoying the wonders of her grandparent’s farm next door. She graduated from New Castle High School in 1976 and then obtained an Associate’s degree from National Business College. Kathy moved to Roanoke County in the early 80’s where she raised her daughter. She worked for many years as a construction coordinator for a local construction company.

Before she was disabled by multiple health issues, Kathy enjoyed flower arranging and craft decorating. She also loved throwing special occasion parties for friends and family.
The family would like to thank Faron Sarver, her devoted companion and caregiver.

A memorial service will be held for Kathy at a later date by the family, post COVID-19.
