Obituary for Joyce Kidd (McKinney)
Joyce M. Kidd 81, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 30, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents, Holland and Annie McKinney; husband, David Lee Kidd; brother, James Holland; daughter, Stephanie Morgan.
Joyce retired after 42 years caring for others at the Boxley Hill Clinic. She loved her patients as if they were her very own. After retirement she was able to work in her yard and enjoy the outdoors. Spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren was what she loved the most. Joyce also loved her church family and loved teaching Sunday school.
Those left to cherish her memory include, sons, Terry Kidd, Jeff Kidd and wife, Renee; sister, Betty Lou Horton; grandchildren, Mason Kidd and wife, Jessica, Katherine Kidd, Leaya Morgan, Garrett Morgan; great-grandchild, Miles Kidd.
The family would like to thank the incredible nursing staff at Brookdale Senior Living for providing the best of care.
The family will receive friends in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel on Sunday, February 5, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, February 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral homes chapel.
