Obituary for Jennifer W. Paschall (Williams)

Jennifer Williams Paschall 67 years old of Salem, Virginia went to be with her Heavenly Father October 15, 2020, she was at home surrounded by her loving family.

Jennifer was born June 1, 1953 in Roanoke, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Milton “Douglas” and Virginia “Gin-Gin” Cash Williams. Jennifer had a servant heart. Upon graduation from Bluefield College, she served as a full-time educator of Tazewell County Public Schools, later transitioning to substitute teaching within Salem City Schools where Jennifer shared her gift and infectious love to countless young minds. Jennifer also worked within the hotel industry starting as a food and beverage director progressing to regional revenue manager, traveling to various locations furnishing knowledge and passion to fellow colleagues and guests. Jennifer was of Christian faith, practicing member of First United Methodist Church of Salem, VA and recently began attending Parkway Church on the Mountain of Roanoke, VA.

In addition to her parents, Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents Joseph and Jessie Cash and Mr. and Mrs. Major M. Williams.

Jennifer is survived by her loving and devoted son Charles Spurgeon Paschall, II of Salem, VA and Katelyn Mitchell of Blacksburg, VA; brothers Mike Williams of New Orleans, LA; Steve and Lynn Williams of Bigfork, MT. Jennifer is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Jessica (Jack, Kayla, Ashlyn) Saxten, Whitefish, MT; Seth Williams and Nikki Robb, son Daxton, Missoula, MT; Kelsey Williams and Justin Boone, Missoula, MT; Mandy (Mike) Vinson, Lewistown, MT; special friends Bob and Rita Laineer of Salem, VA; Thelma Miller of Salem, VA.

The family will receive friends 6 until 8 P.M. Monday, October 19 at John M Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem, VA. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 20 at Parkway Church on the Mountain, Roanoke, VA with Keith Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem, VA.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the medical team of Blue Ridge Cancer Care, Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, and Carilion Clinic Hospice that provided such compassionate care and for their tireless efforts and kindness shown to Jennifer during her battle.
