Obituary for Janet Lee "Jan" Wilson (Allard)
Janet Lee Allard Wilson, 86, of White Sulphur Springs, WV passed peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2022, surrounded by her family. Jan was born February 9, 1936, in Fairmont, W.Va., daughter of the late James W. Allard and Monah Grace Fitzhugh Allard. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James C. "Jim" Allard.
Jan is survived by her three loving children and spouses, Timothy "Tim" Wilson and Margaret, Jonathan "Jon" Wilson and Jewelia and Amy M. Skaggs and Sean; grandchildren and spouses, Kaitlin Tam and Alex, Caleb Wilson and Mariah, Lincoln Skaggs and Olivia, Landon Skaggs, Levi Skaggs and Jeimy and Jada Nickerson; great-grandchildren, Ireland Wilson, Marlee Tam, Waylon Wilson and Gianina Skaggs; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, her beloved Eakle Chapel Church family, and many loving friends and neighbors.
Jan was loved by all who met her. She was a faithful member of Eakle Chapel United Methodist Church for 49 years where she played the piano and led the church choir. For many years she ran the Jack and Jill Pre-School and touched many children's lives throughout the years. She taught piano lessons for both children and adults and tuned pianos for several years.
A celebration of Jan's life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Eakle Chapel United Methodist Church on Big Draft Road, with Rev. Sean Skaggs and Rev. Ella Dorsey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
