Franklin “Roger” "GaGa" Perdue, 71, of Lafayette, Va, passed away Friday, October 4th, 2019. Born Wednesday, March 10, 1948, in Christiansburg, Va. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Leroy Perdue.
Family remaining to cherish his memory include his wife, Janice Jewell Perdue; son, Scott Perdue of Chesapeake, Va.; daughter, Jaime Eskridge and husband, Matt of Lafayette, Va.; his loving grandchildren who named him "GaGa", Ryan Gary Lee Perdue, Emma Katherine Eskridge, Elena Lynn Eskridge, Kirk Alexander Eskridge, and Eva Grace Eskridge.
Also, surviving are his mother, Cora Evelyn Perdue of Elliston, Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Gene Underwood of Elliston; Mother in law, Doris Jewell of Lafayette, Va.; brothers and sister in law, Richard and June Jewell, Steve Jewell of Lafayette, Va. Roger is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Michelle Maxey, Patrick Underwood, Jory Underwood, and Lori Criner.
Special friends, Angel Perdue Vance, mother of his first grandchild and former daughter in law, Carrington Sumner also survives Roger. Also left behind to mourn his loss are his three beloved dogs, Lucy, Prancer, and Cupcake.
A celebration of his life service will be conducted on Saturday, October 12th, 2019, at 4:00 pm at the Gospel Baptist Church in Salem, Va, and will be officiated by Pastor Samuel Huntley. The family will receive friends at 3:30 pm until the service begins.
