Everett Pete Crawford, 89, of Montvale, Va. and formerly of Salem, Va., passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020.
Pete proudly served our country in the United States Marines. He was a plumber by trade and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting pool in his spare time. He even loved singing along with the radio.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Pearl Crawford; wife, Eloise Crawford; son, Everett “Eddie” Crawford, Jr.; son-in-law, Lonnie Meadow; two sisters, all of his brothers, and a nephew, Ray Crawford.
His surviving family includes his children, Susan Meadow, Ricky Crawford (Denise), and Herman Crawford (Becky); sister, Shirley Lee; grandchildren, Crystal (Gary), Lee, Candice (Bronson), Faisal, Kristen (Robert), Andy, Misty (Ronnie), Allen (Tracey), Bryan, Taylor, Chase (Brittany), Cameron, and Austin; great-grandchildren, Cortney, Kaden, Kirstin, Hope, Karlee, Trent, Sage, Hailey, Natalie, William, Lily, Raylan, Kaleb, Kayden, Kortney, Riley, Scarlet, Ayden, Adrien, Nadia, Dylan, Logan, Star, and Landon; five great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Linda Crawford; and many nieces and nephews.
The family extends special appreciation to Donna, Frank, and David for their friendship.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2020, at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Va. Visitation will be private.
