Ann Wells, 89, of Salem Virginia, passed away on February 8th, 2023. She was born on September 22, 1933, to the late Murphy and Lucille Osborne. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Alvin Wells; sister, Frances Yarboro; brothers-in-law, Tommy Yarboro, and Danny “Scooter” Wheeling; and her loving companion, Harold King.

Ann had a loving heart and cared for her family deeply. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she enjoyed spending time with each of them. She remained sharp-witted even throughout her battle with dementia.

Those left here on earth to cherish her memory include her children, Terri Blankenship (Ed), and Greg Wells (Shannon); siblings, Murphy Osborne (Janice), and Jean Wheeling; grandchildren, Spencer Blankenship (Justice), McKenna Wells, and Nathan Wells; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the surgical ICU staff at Lewis Gale Medical Center, Dr. Bonnie Culkin, and the staff at Richfield’s Joseph Thomas Center for their help and support throughout her journey. A graveside service to celebrate Ann's life will be held at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park at 11 AM on Saturday, February 18th, 2023.
