Obituary for Timothy John Robinette

Timothy John Robinette, 58, of Roanoke, Va. and formerly of Salem, Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2019.

He loved music and enjoyed playing guitar, riding his Harley, going fishing, cooking up a good meal, and admiring old cars. His loyal and kind-hearted spirit was admired by his family members and friends. He loved his fur babies, but his true adoration was for his wife, Sandy, who he loved very much.

Preceding him in death was his father, William (Bill) Robert Robinette; father-in-law and stepmother-in-law, Jesse Greene Ramey and Nancy Ramey; and brother-in-law, Vernon Cook.

His surviving family includes his mother, June Robinette of Salem, Va.; mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Kitty and Donnie Brown of Claypool Hill, Va.; wife of 35 years, Sandy Ramey Robinette of Roanoke, Va.; children, Timothy Robinette and wife, Jamie, of Dallas, Tx., Jesse Robinette of Lynchburg, Cody Robinette of Roanoke, Va., and Jenna Robinette and significant other, Matthew Choate of Stuarts Draft, Va.; siblings, Bill Robinette and wife, Nancy, of Salem, Va., Cindy Hylton and husband, Brian, of Salem, Va., and Russell Robinette of Salem, Va.; brother-in-law, Randy Brown and wife, Pam, of San Antonio, Tx.; sisters-in-law, Vikki Cook of Vinton, Va. and Toni Dye of Abingdon, Va.; childhood friends, Dennis Flannagan, Rodney Cline, and Randy Carroll; fur babies, Ringo, Roxy, Gizmo, and Luna; and many other special family members and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem with Chaplain Dave Vanderpool officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
