Obituary for Stefan Charles "Steve" Bratcher Sr.

Stefan (Steve) Charles Bratcher, Sr., 57, of Salem, VA passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018. He was born January 31, 1961 in Germany a son of Annemarie Ruppel Bratcher and the late Charles Wayne Bratcher.
Steve retired from the Navy where he last served as an Aviation Boatswain Mate. He served his country during the Gulf War and Desert Storm. He loved his career with the Navy. Steve also enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, hiking and grilling out with his friends and family. He was a loving son, husband, father and friend. Steve will be missed by all.
Steve is survived by his mother, Annemarie Ruppel Bratcher; loving wife, Joyce Alachnowicz Bratcher; son and daughter-in-law, Stefan Charles Bratcher, Jr. and wife, Elizabeth; brothers, Mike Bratcher and wife, Cindy and Martin Bratcher; and nieces, Samantha Tuck and husband, Bradley, Christiana Bratcher and Breanne Bratcher.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, November 16, 2018 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Steve’s name to the American Cancer Society.
