Missing You

Hi Daddy, This is the 'Ol Least Un here. It's been a year now since we lost you, and I wanted to let you know just how much your family misses you every day. I'd give anything to hear that happy whistling just one more time. Their is a huge hole in everyone's heart and we all think about you every day. I miss your guidance, wisdom, and extreme kindness that you bestowed on us every day that we knew you. I'm bringing Mom to see you today, I know we will be very sad, but I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to bring you two close again. Mom misses your presence every minute of the day. We are taking care of her the best we can, as I know you would want that. Your wooden caboose with the house number had fallen off of the lampost and nearly rotted away on the ground. Some kind soul brought it to the carport and left it on the side bannister. I asked Mom if I could bring it home and try to make it nice again, and she let me take it home. I worked on cleaning it up, and it received it's new coat of red paint today. I took my time to do it right, just like you taught me. I love you with all my heart and will never forget how kind and caring you and Mom were during the years that we knew everything at 13 years old. Man would I love to hear that fingerpicking guitar in the bedroom beside me again, or even the fiddle scales that you worked on so hard. I'd rather hear the guitar though :). I'll take care of Mom today, and we will be there with you soon. Love you Forever, Steve
