Condolence: I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Coach Wheeling. He was one of my favorite coaches but most importantly just a kind and genuine man. Myself and two of my sons got the pleasure of being around him everyday since he was the running backs coach at Salem. There was never a dull moment and plenty of story telling. From the entire Daniels family we want to send our sincerest thoughts and prayers to the Wheeling family and friends.

Condolence: Everyone who knew Danny/Scooter will have wonderful memories of him that will put a smile on their face and happiness in their heart. I knew him (and most all the Wheelings) in high school, then would see him as my three children went to school and had him as their gym teacher and/or Coach. He was a dear man and an example to all he met. I am glad he has been released from his illness to join our Lord in heaven. My sympathies to all his family and friends still here on Earth missing him terribly. Please try to keep this happy memories in your mind. I know I will.

Condolence: Jean, We have thought often about you and Scooter. Since hearing of his passing, we have been thinking of special events we shared. We laughed at the restaurants we probably couldn't go back to after our gang had a party there and the Christmas party at our house on the lake. What great memories. Just know that you and Lauren and the rest of your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Let us know if there is any way we can help you through this difficult time.

Condolence: To the family of Danny, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of one of the good guys. From our time at the Colonial Hills Club, Baldwin's Cabin, Dixie Caverns, and a couple more good time spots to today, never a harsh word by anyone who spoke Danny's name. His how to live life was always shown by example not by words. His many years of coaching & teaching has left behind generations of men & women who will pass on to their friends, relatives, and even strangers the goodness required to have a positive impact on this World. A wonderful legacy left for all of us by a great husband, father, relative, teacher, coach, and friend.
