Clifton W. “Tig” Mills, 77, of Moneta, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Cliff was a fanatic fisherman and hunter who loved his place on the lake. He loved to go bowling and had a mischievous sense of humor. Preceding him in death are his parents, Irvin Ray and Minnie Ruby Mills; daughter, Lori (Mills) Reynolds Meador; four brothers, Clinton, Kenneth, Don, and Bill Mills; one sister, Nettie Sharader; and his four-legged companion, Smokey. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 19 years, Mary J. Mills; children, Lenee Brown and husband, Pete, Beth (Mills) Foley, and Cory Devor; siblings, Irvin Mills and wife, Maria, John Mills and wife, Kitty, Imogene Hosey and husband, Gunner and Gary “Pug” Mills; grandchildren, Christopher Reynolds and wife, Heather, Joshua Reynolds and wife, Emily, Rachel Meador, Matthew Foley, Olivia Meador, Victoria Brown; best friends, Frank Cannaday and William Wuegler; and many special friends and neighbors. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Roanoke Memorial Hospital’s ICU and Palliative Care Unit for their compassion and continuous dedication during Cliff’s care. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 with Pastor Eugene Mills officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
