In loving memory of our precious mother, Daisy Jeanette Phillips, 90, of Salem, who peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 27, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Smith Moses Blackwell and Lula Griffith Blackwell, and a daughter-in-law, Tina Phillips. She was a 65 year member of the Church of the Nazarene. Coming together for family gatherings and her good cooking will always be our most precious memories.

She is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Jean Harlow and her husband Eddie; two sons, Charles Phillips and wife Peggy, and David Phillips; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Patricia Sweeney Cisco and June Hayslette, and numerous extended family members.

The family would like to take this opportunity to express their sincere appreciation to Good Samaritan Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son, Salem. Pastor Reggie Phillips will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery.
