Obituary for Bessie Lou Vest
Bessie Lou Vest, 92, of Salem, passed into Heaven on Friday, July 11, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Randolph “Monk†Vest, daughter, Linda Vest Humphrey and several siblings.
She is survived by her son, Randy Vest and his wife Linda; son-in-law, Larry Humphrey and his wife Pat; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and her sister, Helen Simpson.
Bessie was a lifelong member of Salem Pentecostal Holiness Church. The family would like to take this opportunity to express their sincere thanks to Paula and the second floor nursing staff at Richfield Recovery & Care Center their care and compassion.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Rev. Ryan Linkous will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 11AM, Monday, July 14, 2014 at Sherwood Memorial Park with Pastor Ben Mewald officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Bessie with a donation to your church or favorite charity. An online guest book is available for family and friends by visiting www.johnmoakey.com.
