Sarah Helen Stone, 93, of Salem , VA passed away Friday, March 21, 2008. She was born in Marion , VA daughter of the late Frank F. and Winnie Leo Chrismond Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Preston Stone; five brothers, Wiley, Ralph, Frank, Billy and Guy Davis; one sister, Louise Vaught. Mrs. Stone was a member of First United Methodist Church in Salem , a former member of the Brambleton Junior Women’s Club, she was involved in the Republican Women in Sarasota , FL , and was an artist. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Jo and Gary Sherrow; two grandchildren, Perry Moore and Pamela Busiek and her husband, George; two great-grandchildren, Clay Moore and Jamie Jo Hayes; sister, Margaret Duffeynephew, Joe Hunter Davis; and a number of other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2008 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Dr. Michael Houff officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Sherwood Memorial Park . The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem .
