Macel Irene Miller formerly of Dante, VA and lately of Salem, VA went to join her father, Walden Smith, mother, Garnie Smith, brother, Walter, sisters, Joy and Lil, grandson, Matthew and niece Toni at the side of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Paradise on June 12, 2008. She is survived and dearly loved by her son, John and his wife Debbie; daughters, Margaret, Dianna and Martha; grandchildren, Chris and his wife, Sheila, Kristian, Shakia, Sara, Emily, Mary Katherine and Jennifer; brothers, Grover and Junior; sisters, Viv, Helen, Mary and Ann. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2008 at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Roy Kanode officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park . The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
