Charles Henry Divers, 80, of Salem, VA passed away Friday, April 20, 2012. He was born March 13, 1932 in Roanoke, VA son of the late Joseph P. and Carrie A. Huffman Divers. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Elizabeth Faye Combs Divers; and a brother and a sister. Mr. Divers retired from Graham White, was a member of Temple Baptist Church and enjoyed watching the Golden Girls and Bonanza. He is survived by his dear friends and caretakers, Donald and Judy Combs; and two nephews, Joe Jacobs and Gregory Divers. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Monday, April 23, 2012 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Gregory Irby officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem. 540-389-5441
