Nora S. Harding

Nora Harding, 76, of Salem, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Monday April 16, 2012 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.

Nora was born and raised in Paw Paw, VA, the daughter of the late Clelle and Mary Dotson. Nora was a wonderful and loving mother, staying home to raise and care for her four children. She loved to sing to her children and grandchildren, she loved her special dog Sonny, and she loved to shop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Dotson; her sister, Myrtle Hatfield; and her husband, Grover Lee Harding.

She is survived by a son, Jerry Harding; three daughters, Priscilla Stallard and her husband Daniel, Nina Bingham and Deborah Riffe; three sisters, Louann Michaels, Birdie Lee May, Maxine Reynolds; four grandchildren, Jennifer Mariner and her husband Keith, Erica Lambert, Kerri Hines and her husband Evan and Nora Helton; and four great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 4PM at First Christian Church, 712 Front Street, Salem, VA 24153. The Rev. Dan Netting will officiate. The family will welcome friends at the residence following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nora’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3959 Electric Road, Roanoke, VA. The Harding family is being served by John M.
