David Holdstock Lundie, 76 of Salem, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 3, 2012. Mr. Lundie was a faithful and dedicated employee of 23 years to Denny’s Restaurant prior to retiring. He was also a dedicated member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Salem, but will be remembered mostly by those whom loved him most as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and someone who valued hard work. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Judith Ann Lundie; son’s, Mike Lundie, and Ken Crandall, and wife Jodi; daughter, Carrie Bowerman, and husband Dean; grandchildren, Bryce, Bradon, Brenna, and Briley Bowerman, and Tyler, Blake, and K.C. Crandall; mother-in-law, Norma Sowers; and his best friend “Hercules”. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 5, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2012 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Salem with Father Kevin Segerblom officiating. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem. An online guestbook has been established at www.johnmoakey.com for friends and family desiring to offer their condolences
