Robert Watson "Bob"  Wheeler
Robert Watson “Bob” Wheeler, 82, of Salem, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 after a courageous fight from heart disease. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, C.E. and Mary Etta Wheeler; brother, David Wheeler; and sister, Julia Chivily.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Craig Holland Wheeler; daughter, Nancy
Hack and husband Mike; son, Robert “Rob” Wheeler; grandchildren, Daniel Hack and wife, Karin Hack, and Matthew Poff; great-grandchildren, Evan Hack and Vivian Hack; a brother, Charles Wheeler; brother-in-law, Rev. Dr. Bud Holland and wife Ann, and a sister-in-law, Kay Wheeler.

Bob was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salem where he was the treasurer for both the church and St. Anne’s Episcopal Day School. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Bob was also an avid sports fan who enjoyed bridge and bowling.

An inurnment will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salem with military honors. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Anne’s Episcopal Day School or Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
