Allison Wallace "Al"  Mowles
Allison W. “Al” Mowles, age 54, of Salem, Va. passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 30, 2018. He was born on Friday, June 5, 1964 to Nancy H. Mowles and the late Kenneth L. Mowles. Al was an awesome brother to his siblings and was noted for being an avid jokester! He loved everyone, especially his nieces and nephews. His love for others was exemplary of the love of his Lord, as he was a devoted Christian with an enormous heart.
Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother include his siblings, Lysa M. Allison and husband Phil, Rebecca M. Colace and husband Rosario, Kenneth L. Mowles, Jr. and wife Peggi, Matthew L. Mowles and wife Susan; nieces and nephews, Jacqueline Fish and husband Jason, Gin Armstrong, Lewis Mowles, and Josh Mowles.
Al’s friends and friends of the family are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in the Abbey at Sherwood Memorial Park, 1250 E. Main Street, Salem, Va. 24153. At the families request the interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association: www.diabetes.org/donate/ in honor of Al.
