Condolence: We are so sad to know Danny had such serious health problems. We were able to be with him several times while he attended Guilford College. I temner Danny as a very good man. Our prayers go out to all of his family. There is a hole in our hearts now but know there is comfort in the knowledhe that Fanny is with GOD and still smiling.

Condolence: I have some wonderful memories with Danny growing up in east Salem. His mother was our cub scout den mother. Danny was one of my best friends. We played together in my house and his all of the time. We even let Dennis play with us. I am so sorry for your loss. I will be praying for God to comfort and bless you during this time of grief.

Condolence: I just wanted to say how truly sorry I am for your loss. I always had the utmost respect & admiration for Dan. I had the esteemed privilege of playing football for Coach Wheeling several years ago & he taught me a great deal. Dan always had a smile on his face no matter what the circumstance or situation. Condolence: I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Coach Wheeling. He was one of my favorite coaches but most importantly just a kind and genuine man. Myself and two of my sons got the pleasure of being around him everyday since he was the running backs coach at Salem. There was never a dull moment and plenty of story telling. From the entire Daniels family we want to send our sincerest thoughts and prayers to the Wheeling family and friends.
Condolence: Everyone who knew Danny/Scooter will have wonderful memories of him that will put a smile on their face and happiness in their heart. I knew him (and most all the Wheelings) in high school, then would see him as my three children went to school and had him as their gym teacher and/or Coach. He was a dear man and an example to all he met. I am glad he has been released from his illness to join our Lord in heaven. My sympathies to all his family and friends still here on Earth missing him terribly. Please try to keep this happy memories in your mind. I know I will.

Then to allow us to to be family with Lauren and allow me to be her big brother is so special . I truly wish I could be there for you as much as you have been there for me.
