Obituary for Donald Wayne Daulton

Donald “Boozie” Wayne Daulton, 65, of Salem, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018.

Mr. Daulton was born on February 11, 1952, a son of the late Ruby and Willard Daulton. He was an avid football fan and had played for Andrew Lewis High School. Boozie loved UVA sports of all kinds and bled orange and blue. He was an owner of Freedom Auto Sales for 26 years. He loved mowing the grass and doing yardwork.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Daulton was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Daulton; and brother, Ray Daulton and his wife, Jenny.

Surviving are his wife, Vicki Daulton; daughters, Carrie Daulton and Brea Hatt and husband, Andrew; grandchildren, Kylie, Blakely, and Beckett, whom Boozie was known as their beloved FaFa; sister, Charlotte Ferguson; niece, Stacie Booth and husband, J.D.; nephew, Gary Ferguson and wife, Cindy; special friends, Blake Owen and Larry Wills; his beloved dog, Rudy; and many other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018, at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem.
