Condolence From: The Banks Family
Condolence: Our family had the pleasure of sitting with Bill Sunday mornings for the last 2 years. He would always smile and shake all of our children’s hands and would say “great looking family”. Even though we only knew him a short time, we will miss him. The Banks Family

Condolence: Saddened at the news of Bill's passing. He was incredibly well-loved by all of us at United Way. I have so many years of wonderful memories and laughter working alongside him. A real salt of the earth! Honored to have him as one of first friends moving to Roanoke, and starting my job at United Way. His precious friendship made even the hardest days bearable. Praying for the family and friends that he's left behind. May we all learn from the wonderful example of service, giving and hard work that Bill has left behind.

Condolence: Very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was my company commander in the USAR for the eight years that I served. He was a good soldier, a straight shooter, and a great human being. I did not often cross paths with him in the years since my reserve days, but whenever I did he greeted me with a big smile and a warm handshake. I am sure he will be sorely missed by family and friends.

Condolence: As everyone knows, Bill Gore was a very special gentleman. His wife, Lou, was in my husband Joseph's Andrew Lewis High School Class of '50. In later years, the reunion committee met at our house for planning meetings. I would see Bill every Friday at Famous Anthony's when he met with his "Rinky-Dinks" and I met with my Roanoke College retirees. We'll ALL miss him. Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
