Philip “Bill” W. Smiley, 86, of Roanoke, VA and formerly of Chatham, NJ, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at home surrounded by loved ones after a short illness.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 61 years, Nancy; four children, Scott Smiley, Sandra Townsend and husband, Brian, Steven Smiley and wife, Theresa, and Shelly Smiley; six grandchildren, Jacqueline, Meredith, Olivia, Ryan, Jillian, and Sean; and one great-granddaughter, Rory.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Craig Mitchell, Father Jim Lively, Fay Clippard, and Nancy Wheeler as well as Good Samaritan Hospice especially Gay, Taniesha, Allie, Cathy, and Angela for all their love, support, and compassion they provided Bill and his family. The family is profoundly grateful.
