The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of George Tate can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: My best to all the family. On the other side of things I didn't really know Dr Tate personally but he put my braces on in the early 70's. That summer I was hit by a car and he told me that was the only reason I didn't lose all my teeth, that's a heck of a memory. Riding my bike from Salem Intermediate for appts. I always got a kick from him rolling quickly to other pts on his chair. Fond memories and straight teeth -thank you.

Condolence: Dear Family,
My thoughts go out to all of you on the loss of your husband, Dad, Granddad. Dr. Tate was one of my Dad's best friends and I think back so fondly on the times our parents spent together. Your Dad was such a true Southern Gentleman. May your wonderful memories bring you comfort and peace and may they bring a smile to your face.
Thinking of all of you,
Sandra Dickey Phillips
