Mark Samuel  Wright
Mark Samuel Wright, 56, of Salem, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 8, 2017.

Mark graduated from College of Health Sciences as Valedictorian of his class. He practiced as an RRT at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He later became a highly skilled computer systems engineer. He owned his own business, Computer Eze, in Salem. He established internet service in Southwest Virginia.

Mark suffered from Multiple System Atrophy, a rare and terminal disease. He was still able to care for his ailing mother suffering from Parkinson’s Disease. He cared for her in his home until her death in 2014. He was passionate about using his skills to help the elderly.

He was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church. He witnessed for Christ on a regular basis. He had a beautiful voice and loved to sing traditional hymns with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Preceding him in death were grandparents, Dewey Madison and Ossie Mae Burris Wright and George Grover and Mary Charlotte Spraker Bralley; and parents, French Pierce and Elizabeth Kathleen Wright.

His surviving family includes his wife, Robin Frances Wright; siblings, Linda Wright and French Wright II; niece, Alena Naff VanDalen and husband, Peter; nephew, Daniel Jonathan Naff and wife, Marilyn; and stepchildren, Lugh, Connor, and Malcolm McLaughlin.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Shenandoah Baptist Church in Roanoke with Pastor Albin Crutchfield officiating.
