Obituary for Jasper Lee Baker Jr.
Jasper Lee Baker, Jr., 93, of Salem, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017.
He was a US Army Veteran having served in WWII, and was retired from the United States Postal Service.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Dorothy Martin Baker; and sister, Atlas Baker Holland.
His surviving family includes his daughter, Jane L. Baker; and several nieces and nephews.
A period of visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017, at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be sent to the Salem Rescue Squad at 201 South Broad Street in Salem, Va. 24153. Online condolences may be expressed at www.johnmoakey.com.
