Linda Joyce Beckelhimer, 67, of Salem, died at her home on Friday, January 6, 2017. She was born on November 27, 1949 at Ft. Monroe, VA to Arthur Beckelhimer and Edna Link Beckelhimer. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Roscoe and Audrey Hall Link and Anderson Holman and Susie Flinchum Beckelhimer; and her beloved dogs, Cassie and Princess.
Survivors include a brother and his wife, Alvis Beckelhimer and Patricia Champaign of Roanoke; a sister, Wilma Simmons of Salem; a nephew, Eric Beckelhimer of Roanoke; an aunt, Helen Link of Floyd County; and several cousins.
Linda was retired and had worked in the medical field for most of her life, both in Virginia and California where she lived for many years. She loved dogs, playing cards and crafts.
