Condolence: To the Joe Annarino Family~ The first year after the death of a loved is the most difficult because of the memory dates as birthday, wedding, birth of children, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, anniversary, and the numerous other events you shared over the years. These memories and events you will cherish in future years when you remember Joe with your love and friendship that you created with him. For these lovely memories will have a place in your heart and mind the remainder of your life. And when you are sad or crying and wishing he was with you still, just remember that God blessed you with the time you shared with Joe.

Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. We went to high school together and graduated from Newark Catholic in 1962. My memories of Joe are all filled with laughter and kindness. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Condolence: I was sorry to here about Joe's passing. He was such a caring person. I remember him telling me about trying to hunt deer when he was younger and that he just did not want to kill an animal. He would tell me to smile and not look so glum. Any time the WVU football team won, he would congratulate me and shake my hand even though he was a Virginia Tech fan. Joe talked to everybody. He must have had a thousand friends.

Condolence: Several years ago I was very fortunate to meet Mr. Annarino while using the computers at South Roanoke County Library. Very quickly we found that we both had a connection to Woodrow Wilson Middle School--not only had his children attended WW, I taught there and remembered both of them. I always enjoyed my conversations with Mr. Annarino and am so sorry to learn of his passing.

Condolence: With Sympathy to Joe's Family in Virginia and especially to his sister Tina in Newark, Ohio. Joe was not just my friend and classmate, he was much more then that. Our families were close, and he was my first 'crush' in 8th grade at Blessed Sacrament School where we tried our best to dance to, "At the Hop"! Annarino's Cafe served my rehearsal dinner and catered my wedding. My favorite piece of furniture, a credenza, came from Joe's house on Everett Avenue! The Keck Family will pray for Joe's Family to be at Peace with his passing, as I am sure he is now in Our Father's arms.

Condolence: I knew Mr Annarino as a patron at South County Library (formerly on 419, too). He always waved as he came in or left. He was one of our regulars that we all knew as Joe. I also knew Jaison his son briefly at Explore Park, and I had talked to Mr. Annarino about that once or twice. We will miss his quick smile and wave at the library.

Condolence: To: Joe Annarino's family & friends, My memories extend to our Newark Catholic High School years of 1958-1962 where I met Joe during our Freshman - Senior years. Our class bonded together during our four acadmenic years taught by the Domenican Sisters (Nuns), priests and a few lay teachers. Our favorite memories were going to the Annarino Restaurant after our home football & basketball games to enjoy stories, jokes, laughs, while eating delicious hamburgers, fries, and cokes. I remember that Joe lost his class ring in the dirt at Black Hand Gorge and I discovered it covered under 4 inches of dirt. Joe was so happy and thrilled for my discovery and gave me a huge hug. Joe was always smiling, cheerful, fun, energetic and so helpful to our class. We will miss him. May Joe rest in peace. My sympathy to his family and friends. Love from Carolyn DeVito Irmscher

Condolence: I wanted to say I'm sorry for your loss. Joe became a good friend of the library, especially staff in the reference department. He was always a pleasure to see and helped us out quite a bit with his professional knowledge and assistance with computer classes. He will continue to be missed by both staff and other patrons he befriended. I'm forever grateful to have met him.

Condolence: Joe was one of a kind. No matter what was happening, he could always see the bright side and was always willing to step in and work to make it better. He had a passion for helping others to get to a better place in their lives. I cannot attend the service, but, send all his family and friends my prayers and best wishes. I'm sure he is smiling and working tirelessly in his n new environment.

Condolence: So, so sorry for your loss. Joe was like a member of our family. He was a tremendous friend/co-worker to my father. Joe was always available for when we would need to lean on his shoulder during dad's illness. Even after his passing, Joe would continue to check on us. I have fond memories of our families hanging out together, laughing and enjoying each other's company. I will truly miss Joe and am saddened by his passing. Condolence: Joe was a loyal and devoted member of the Law Enforcement Summit, a monthly meeting of law enforcement who welcomed in treatment professionals in our battle against Heroin and Opioid addiction and overdoses. His commitment to his cause was immense and his friendship was valued. His mark on his cause will last but his presence will be deeply missed.
