Obituary for MaryLou Elizabeth Wray (Aliff)

MaryLou Elizabeth Wray, 61, of Salem, passed away, Saturday, October 8, 2016.

She was born in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Leonard and Edith Underwood Aliff and had been an area resident all of her life. She was a member of Freedom Church and was employed as a manager at Western Sizzlin for over 16 years. MaryLou loved her coffee, but most of all, loved spending time with her grandbabies, the apples of her eyes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tina Marie; three brothers, Linwood, Billy and Clarence Aliff, and two sisters, Barbara Rock and Shirley Wood.

She is survived by a daughter, Carrie Wray-Young and husband Moses; two sons, Leonard Aliff and wife Deborah, and John Wray and wife Melissa; seven grandchildren, Allen, Cody, Gabrielle, Graham, Ryan, Haden and Todd. She is also survived by two sisters, Debbie Clemons and husband David, and Ellen Brown, and by two brothers, Odell Aliff and Billy Joe Cioti.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, October 14, 2016 at Freedom Church 128 Mill Lane Salem, VA 24153. An online guest book is available for family and friends by visiting www.johnmoakey.com.
