Obituary for Annabelle Whitworth Agee (Whitworth)

Annabelle Whitworth Agee, 87, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 11, 2016.

She was born in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Pete and Roxie Gillispie Whitworth and had been an area resident all of her life. She was a long time and faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for many years. Annabelle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was taking care of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rawlin W. Agee, who passed away in 1980, a sister, Betty Sarver, and a brother, Billy Whitworth.

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia ‘Patty’ Repasky and husband Billy, Carol Turk and husband Mike, and Nancy Petersen and husband Roger. Also surviving are grandchildren, Alan Repasky and wife Lisa, Chris Taylor and wife Kathy, Amy Michals and husband Mac, and Mark Petersen; three great-grandchildren, Regan Repasky, Sophie Repasky and Ben Repasky.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church 1601 S. Colorado St. Salem, VA 24153. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
